Be our guest! Be our guest!
Put our service to the test. Tie your napkin round your neck, monsieur, and we'll provide the rest.
Soup du jour
A big hit, as you can see -- pre-made split pea
Heat and serve
Just colored sour cream :)
Don't believe me? Ask the dishes!
Be our guest! Oui, our guest. Be our guest!
Beef ragout
Surprisingly easy to make
Pie (not part of planned menu) and pudding "en flambe"
Pre-made bread pudding. Fire! fire! hehe hehe
Following our successful Lady and the Tramp themed dinner, I chose Mama's favorite Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast, and used the Be Our Guest song to develop our family friendly Valentine's Day menu. I used the nice china (BT's Grandma's set) and everything!

Favorite of the day: Here's is Disney's version of "grey stuff"
Working on: Regaining sanity. Kinda jealous of the Cessnas taking off every 5 minutes it seemed today from the nearby airport, presumably jetting couples off to fun, romantic weekend destinations. Oh to be a millionaire and leave the grind behind...

Oh, that is CLEVER! I had visions of a Lady & The Tramp dinner for us too--even DVR'd it a few weeks ago with last night in mind. As it was, I made spaghetti & meatballs and bought cupcakes and we never even watched the movie. Oh well! Your dinner theme was awesome, maybe I'll have to try this one next year! Maren would totally love it.
OH MY GOSH! I love this!!!!!! Jen you are so fun and your family so blessed by this tremendous effort! Even if it was "easy to make" I would not have dreamed this up. Super Duper impressed! If my Mom had done this, I tell you it would be legendary in our household. That picture of Hank looking at the pea soup is KILLING ME! HA!!
En Flambé!!!!!! Oh man. Awesome.
