An ornament a day 2012: Day 1

Like last year, I would like to make an ornament a day each day for the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. As of right now, I only have 5 ornament ideas in mind, and we have a full week ahead of us.

First up -- An Anthropologie inspired initial ornament. I used a wire coat hanger to make the W shape, and then covered it in leftover bits of yarn.

We had a nice Christmas with family. I am feeling a little overwhelmed trying to find room for gifts for not just one but two little boys, but was pleased that Hank in an un-Scrooge like moment (for him) told us how he would go through his toys to find ones to give to kids who don't have any toys. Oh, and we forgot his special Santa gift at our house (after all our hard work to procure it), but instead of being sad or upset, he just whooped with glee when we read a note from Eyeball was holding Christmas morning letting Hank know that Santa had goofed and delivered the space shuttle to his house instead of Nana and Grandpa's house. Thank goodness the message is finally getting through! I guess I should wait to toot our horn until I see which toys he is willing to give up -- perhaps he is thinking of his brother's play things...

Favorite of the day: Would be nice to makes these for folks who send photo cards

Working on: Felt-y ornaments
