It didn't matter that there were a dozen other things I could be doing, and that the apples would have kept for weeks more if needed, I felt compelled to make them into applesauce.
I used a crockpot recipe with brown sugar -- I guess that's why it came out so dark. But it was (yes was -- all gone now) delicious!
