Au Natural

Hope everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

My table decor was influenced by Sally's display on Chow. Very natural and organic. Hey, even most of our food was organic this year, which was cool. As we had a slightly larger guest list, I couldn't quite justify the cost of the Martha's paper boxes. Of course, meanwhile most of the Thanksgiving and Fall themed items were already cleared out of the stores to make way for Christmas. Time to get creative! I found the paper bags at Target (very thick and sturdy), and thought the popcorn would fit well with the food filled items in the center of the main table. I punched the names in the bottoms of the bags with a handheld punch that has interchangeable letters.

Everything turned out well, and it was nice to see the fam. After dinner, we went geocaching.

Very fun - I can definitely see this becoming yet another hobby!

Letterboxing is another great hobby :)

Sounds like you had a great day!

The popcorn was very appropriate. The Pilgrims had popcorn at the First Thanksgiving. Your table looks great. Off to learn what geocaching is.

Geocaching and Letterboxing are totally, completely addictive--I'm just warning you. :) We love it, but don't go as often as we should. I just love the whole treasure hunt aspect of it--who wouldn't?
