It's a Cupcake Two-fer!

Two cupcake varieties for your viewing (if not eating) pleasure

For the co-workers

Just a mix and store bought frosting, topped with edible Easter grass (from Target) and Cadbury eggs. I thought the grass would make people squeamish, but I think these were gobbled up faster than anything I've set out in the break room previously!

And for my book group

The homemade variety. Let me just say that good ingredients make all of the difference in the pursuit of the perfect cupcake. These were soooo yum! Those are Sunny Seed Drops on the top.

Our book group's selection this month was very interesting. It was a book called Summerhill, and was the inspiration, it seems, for the Unschooling movement. Too much to discuss here, but probably a good read for anybody that struggles with finding the balance between allowing their kids to have freedom, but not be labeled as the "wild bunch."

That's such a good question! The grass tastes like Fruity Pebbles cereal. Its consistency is harder to describe. It is not unpleasant, surprisingly.

Summerhill is very thought provoking, I'd like to share a quote from a friend of mine, about schooling:

"The contrast between how to find a daycare (interview everyone, observe, select carefully, this really, really matters) and how to enroll in public school (you're allowed to know the employees name -- which may change at any time without notice -- and place of work, and you have no additional rights or responsibilities in this matter)"

Of course, that's just the tip of the iceberg!
