Duly Noted

BT and I never made it to this art exhibit. The idea of post-it art stuck with us, though. As mentioned, BT is taking an Illustration class this semester at a community college. But, it is easy for him to fall in the trap of only drawing what he needs to for an assignment, and not explore the medium further.

I, on the other hand, am trying to develop my own *style*, and spark ideas for future crafting endeavors. Thus it was decided that we would each do a daily post-it "art" piece. It can be a doodle, a diagram, design, pattern, or even an artfully written note. We agreed to limit the "pieces" to drawings only, using pen and/or pencil. Therefore, 3-dimensional elements, or alterations of the basic background, in this case a 3-inch square yellow self-stick removable note, will not be part of the installment.

Here are the results from the first two days

We will be completing 64 of these (32 each) so we can have an 8X8 display of notes. I'll be sure to show you the completed project!

Sorry you missed that exhibit - that looked cool -- but it looks like you guys have the next best thing going there!

Below: What a funny story about the linen scrap. I love random things in purses like that.
